First Black Hawks handed over to Swedish Armed Forces Helicopter Wing
The first of 15 UH-60M Black Hawks, Swedish HKP16, was oficially handed over to Swedish Armed Forces Helicopter Wing at Linköping.
A total of 15 Black Hawks are ordered and will be fully delivered in 2013 and will be called HKP 16.
The acquisition of the new UH-60M Black Hawk took only 1,5 year.
The HKP16 will replace the Super Puma in Afghanistan and support ISAF with medical and equipment transportation in late 2013.
They have till then to make the new helicopter system operational.
Pilots and technichians are already beeing trained, the first pilots where trained a couple of months ago over in the US.
