1. General

These Terms of Use covers the use of the websystem FlightlogBackup ("The Service"). Owned by FlightlogBackup International AB ("FLB","The Company","We"), Gothenburg, Sweden, 556882-9161. By register for an account any FLB services the user (The User) agrees to these terms.
FlightlogBackup usually announces changes to these terms but it is The Users responsibility to stay up to date with the these terms.
All information posted on Flightlog Backup is owned by the account holder but Flightlog Backup saves the right to use all information anonymously in statistics and marketing.

2. User

To use FLB you need to register for one of our account types.
The Pilot account is free to use for pilots not connected to a company. Free accounts could contain announcements from advertisers.
The Account is personal and the registrar is responsible to keep the login credentials protected.

At FLB the user can upload and interact via messages and various other functions. To keep FLB safe and enjoyable the user shall NOT:
* Send spam.
* Collect user data by using harvest-bots, bots, spiders, scrapers or any other method to gain unauthorized access to any part of FLB
* Upload illegal content.
* Upload Viruses or other malicious program.
* Publish any hatric, threatening or pornographic content.
* Bully, Harass or Threaten.
* Use FLB to conduct any unlawful acts.
* Any action which might lead to inactive, overload or impair the stability of FLB, e.g. DoS-attacks.

A breach or violation of any of the Account Terms as determined will result in an immediate termination of your account.
User must use their real names and real information and keep their contact details up to date.

3. Security

FLB works daily with security to prevent attacks and loss of data.
User passwords are all kept highly encrypted and FLB staff will Never ask for login credentials of any sort.
Each user is responsible for picking a strong password and change it with regular intervals to ensure no unauthorized person gain access to the account.
All data are backed up daily with regular intervals. Both databases and uploaded files.
Databases are backed up every 8 hours and files are backed with irregular intervals, due to load balancing.
We have redundant and load balanced servers for maximum uptime, however we can not gurantee 100% uptime.
If the sysmte would go offline we guarantee minimun downtime.
If FlightlogBackup can not fix the problems within reasonable time, full reimbursement of current active subscription periods takes in affect.

4. How we keep your information secure

We keep your account information on a secure server behind a firewall in 24/7 guarded server rooms.
When you enter sensitive information, such as passwords and at login, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology, SSL (Indicated by the green/blue color in the adress field).
If you manually change your URL we can no longer guarantee that sensible data will be encrypted.

5. Payment and Subscriptions

Payment for companies are done by 30 day invoice.
Modules are payed for in advance and SMS fees are included in next periods invoice.
Each subscription period is determined in the companies Administration account under Subscriptions.
Flightlog Backup services and modules are paid for a chosen period. When the period ends, account will be unaccessable until another period is paid for. Recurring Invoices can be set to always have the accounts online.
Recurring Invoices are just as it sounds, invoices that are sent out automatically when your period ends, not e.g. automatic debit from credit cards.
If you order something that becomes unavailable before it can be provided to you, your only remedy is to receive a refund of your purchase price.

6. How we use your information

To manage the service. We use the information we collect to provide our services and features to you, to measure and improve those services and features, and to provide you with customer support.
We use the information to prevent potentially illegal activities, and to enforce our Statement of Rights and Responsibilities.
We also use a variety of technological systems to detect and address anomalous activity and screen content to prevent abuse such as spam.
These efforts may on occasion result in a temporary or permanent suspension or termination of some functions for some users.

7. Privacy Policy

Information About Yourself. When you sign up for FLB you provide us with your name, email, gender, and birth date. You will also be able to add a picture of yourself. In some cases we may ask for additional information for security reasons or to provide specific services to you. Once you register you can provide other information about yourself e.g. next of kin, certificate number adresses etc. Much information is needed when connected to a company by the company.
By register and/or use FLB services you agree to FLB collecting and storing this information in FLBs databases. Your information will only be accassable to you and people who directly need this information for the purpose of the system.

8. How we collect information about you

How we collect information about you.
All information stored in our databases regarding you could be deleted by you or upon request at any time.
However some information is neccassary for some functions to function properly and some information is needed for some company modules and can only be deleted with their written consent.
High security information like passwords are always highly encrypted in our databases.

9. Statistics and marketing

Information from your account can be used for statistics and marketing use. The information however will not be connected to you in person by any way, and we will not use your personal information. Information that could be used is for eg information about aircrafts and aircraft registration and informations about times and flights.

10. To contact you

We may contact you with service-related announcements from time to time. Most every day announcements are made under News and via Twitter. Some information regarding you service can be made via FLB message and/or email.

11. How we share your information

When you are connected to a company some of your information is shared to people in charge of the different module accounts used by your company. You can always chose not to share your information by deleting it and not enter some information. However many functions could be lost due to Flightlog Backup is about sharing information with other accounts. Flightlog Backup will only share information about you with accounts connected to the same company you are connected to except some information about name, flight times can be visible to Flight Ops Managers when your accounts is set to be visible in the Pilot Database. You can set you to invisible under Settings - Account.

12. Search Engines

To give search engines access to public available information.
We generally try to limit search engines access to our site to content not connected to your account.

13. Backup copies

Removed and deleted information from FLB may persist in our backup copies for up to 90 days. This is in backups so will not be available to others.
Company database information will be saved for 6 months and will be stored on different physical locations than the original live servers.


Prices & Payment

Every product is shown including tax. In the final stage you can see the total price including all fees, taxes, shipping and method of payment.
Prices might change if paying through eg Apple AppStore depending on your Locale. See your current AppStore for current price.


Delivery

Access to product is given direct after placing the order.


Return

You can return an order by email us at billing@flightlogbackup.com and in your message to us you must clearly state that you regret your purchase.
This must be done within our Return period of 14 days.
Flightlogbackup shall, if under the jurisdiction of our return policy, refund you what you have paid for the product and/or service as soon as possible, but latest within 30 days of the product being returned or you informing us of wanting to return a service. You are oblige to pay for the return delivery of the product. Flightlogbackup will pay to send replacement products and/or services.

The return period is counted from the delivery date.

To respond to legal requests and prevent harm

We may disclose information pursuant to subpoenas, court orders, or other requests (including criminal and civil matters) if we have a good faith belief that the response is required by law.
This may include respecting requests from jurisdictions outside of Sweden where we have a good faith belief that the response is required by law under the local laws in that jurisdiction, apply to users from that jurisdiction, and are consistent with generally accepted international standards.
We may also share information when we have a good faith belief it is necessary to prevent fraud or other illegal activity, to prevent imminent bodily harm, or to protect ourselves and you from people violating our Statement of Rights and Responsibilities.
This may include sharing information with other companies, lawyers, courts or other government entities.

Changes to our Terms

Flightlogbackup reserves the right to update this policy at any time without prior notice. Any significant changes to this policy will be sent out to the account owners registered email address.
Although most changes are likely to be minor, Flightlog Backup may change its Terms from time to time, and in Flightlog Backup sole discretion. Flightlog Backup encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Terms. Your continued use of this site after any change in these Terms will constitute your acceptance of such change.


Cookies

Cookies is a small file stored locally on the users computer to handle things like log in and other functions and is necassary for this site function correctly.
Almost all sites today uses this but if you do not want this to be stored on your computer you can deactivate it in your browser.
You will no longer be able to use FLB though.
